Our Board of Directors

There’s nothing more powerful than an enraged mother! Too angry to wait any longer for others to take action to fix the broken system of childcare and early education, Tara decided to use her impatience as a gift to get things done. Parents of a five year old and two year old in the throes of the childcare and working world, Tara and Nick are constantly amazed by what mothers are capable of going through while children are under five, and how much we owe our children’s teachers for their love, support and kindness offered to our children on a daily basis.

Kali Heys, Director of Education and Treasurer

A Napa native hailing from a long line of educators, Kali currently spends her days as the Associate Director of Athletics at the esteemed Urban School of San Francisco. She previously worked locally a Blue Oak School in Napa, and devotes her weekends to coaching volleyball and helping out with her two nephews in Napa. Kali knows the importance and impact of education in a child’s life from her experience in the education field, and she is commited to creating lasting, positive changes on not only her students but the Napa community at large.

Sarah Clark, Director of Events and Secretary

Sarah is a new mother to twin girls and can be seen strolling around Main Street in St. Helena when she is not working at Swanson Vineyards to sell wine and open up their new tasting room upvalley. Sarah has worked in the hospitality and wine industries in Napa for 20 years, and knows the challenges of hiring and keeping great talent in the Valley. Now faced with all the bittersweet challenges of the early childhood years, Sarah sees the need for programs within the Napa Valley to help out local families by offering finanical assistance to help citizens get through these early years and helping our local family feel seen and supported.

Maggie Mazotti, Director of Development

Another Napa native, Maggie spent her childhood growing up between the vines as her father paved his own way in the wine industry by co-founding the esteemed Robert Biale Vineyards. Following in her father’s footsteps,Maggie made her career in the wine industry and now works upvalley at the bucolic Tres Sabores. Now with two daughters of her own, Maggie has felt the struggles of early motherhood and the lack of childcare options and support services around the Napa Valley for mothers and the need for reform within the childcare industry.

Nina Atman, Director of Marketing

Hailing from Oklahoma, Nina made her way to the West Coast by way of Pepperdine University, then slowly inched her way up north to Napa. Juggling two boys under the age of five with a full time position as Head of Merchandising at Naked Wines here in Napa, Nina understands the absolute necessity of childcare in today’s world, particularly while living in the Napa Valley. There is no room for career growth when you don’t have someone to help care for your kids! And the quality of that care is also of the utmost importance and should be available to all members of our community, regardless of economic status.
